Open Question: is this abuse or is he just not attracted or am i overreacting?

i guess my husband and i are still trying to "reconcile" our marriage after a long separation due to his being "uncertain" of his feelings for me ...he was unfaithful also. i dont think he is attracted to me at every, i've always had my doubts since we were first married. i'll give you some examples... one time when i brought him lunch to work his male co-worker who met me for the first time looked at my husband with an astonished look on his face and said "she's not ugly..".....to which he didnt respond. he never compliments me, when he has days off from work he'd rather stay home with his roommates, he's going out partying again, he's on a sports team and acts like he's a superstar athlete...also, he still ditches our plans to hang out with his friends. if i am feeling depressed or need help he doesnt offer. i feel like instead of trying to merge our lives together again that he is defining boundaries between our lives. he complains about almost every aspect of my personality whenever i look him and he is critical of almost everything about me. i hate feeling like i am never good enough, pretty enough etc. to hold his attention or keep his committment. he also straight hangs up on me whenever he feels like it and he never apologizes if he hurts my feelings. sex is infrequent and when we do have sex he makes comments about "doing every the work"... another recent time when i went to meet with him for breakfast he stared at me and laughed about the dry skin on my forehead and nose.....(i had tried really difficult to look nice).... i told him he was being rude and he said that if he had "sheyat on his face he would want to know"...i then told him.."i am a pretty lady"...to which he rolled his eyes and gave me this look of 'whatever' on his face... i am 40 pounds more than i used to be when we met but i just had a baby a few months ago and i have post partum depresssion.... i cant help but feel insecure with a "husband" who wont live with me, spend time with me, make me feel special, cherished and valued. to top it every off...another reason we separated besides the cheating is that he has always been looking for a younger and prettier lady than me. he makes me feel like he is settling for me and is never content to be my man. am i overreacting or would you feel that way also if you were me. i am overweight now, but i dont think that i am ugly and it really bothers me that he acts like he isnt attracted to me and i wonder if he ever has been. he never ever compliments me on my looks or anything. he also will not tell his friends whom he spends 90% of his free time with that we are reconciling our marriage....why??? i dont know??? he is over 30 and acts like he cares about what his friends think like he was 16 or something. about his friends, they are every divorced or unhappily married. any input would be appreciated...is this abuse or is he just not attracted or am i overreacting??? thanks when he does go out to hang out with "friends" he wont answer his phone or call me at the end of the night. i told him that he's not single and he said, "were separated but i'm not cheating."

Resolved Question: Should I feel guilty?

I have known my wife for 25 years and have been married for 21 of them. every of our friends use our marriage as a model for what their marriages or relationships should be. And it was fantastic for the longest time. We loved to travel together and have certainly done a lot of that. We have raised two amazing girls, ages 13 and 16 now. Other than the traveling, we never really had that much in common. We both had different interests. I always thought that this is why we were so glad . We werent together 24/7. In 21 years of marriage, weve only had one battle. At least one real battle. Otherwise just minor disagreements every once in a while. For the past few years, this has started to bother me a little bit. As I got older, I felt myself wanting to share more with her but she has shown no interest in the things I like. At least not the enthusiasm I want her to have. And visa versa. Two years ago, my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It is the same one that Ted Kennedy has. The prognosis was 1 to 1.5 years. I take my marriage vows very seriously and have been by her side every step of the way. A second tumor developed a few months ago. Now my life consists of giving meds and changing diapers which I do happily everyday. She did not ask to receive sick and it wasnt her fault. She is now laying next to me in a hospital bed in our room with only weeks if not days to go. Anyway, now my dilema. Let me first say that I am feeling guilty and ashamed of myself. One of my best friends has his possess tiny medical practice. He has a lady working for him who is like family to him and his wife. So over the years I have gotten to know her very well. She is always at their home for holidays and other events when my wife and I are their also. She has also started to help my older daughter to steer as I have not had the time taking care of my wife. For the last few years, I have really gotten to know this other lady. We have so much in common we are almost like the same person. For the past few months I cant cease thinking about her. I have already mourned the death of my marriage as well as the lady that I once knew as my wife. Its a long story and I wish none of you ever go through it but she hasnt been her for 2 years. The only thing left is losing her and mourning her physical being. Me and this other lady, she is now single by the way, have been talking more and more. I stopped by her office the other day and she asked me to lunch. A 1/2 hour lunch suddenly turned into a 2-3 hour lunch. We both a great time and I cant remember being that glad for at least 4-5 years. Both she and I know nothing will happen while my wife is still with me. BUT I cant help but feel guilty and ashamed about the feelings Im having. Am I a bad person? Me and this other person are seeing each other on Saturday to talk. Nothing more. I know she feels the same way about me.

Open Question: Should you get married in church if the guy can't afford it but the girl can?

Girl's parents doesn't want the guy's parents to attend the wedding coz they are both not presentable since they are needy people. The guy's dad also is living with his 2nd family (and left his mom when he's still a kid) and is on a wheelchair. How can the girl tell the guy of her parents' request without him getting hurt? Should they just marry in the court instead so there won't be issue about the guys parents anymore? The girl's family don't approve of the courtroom marriage coz they feel it's like telling to the society that their daughter eloped with a man who can't afford to give her a church wedding n reception We are not in U.S and traditionally, it's the guy's family spending for the wedding here in our country. There's also the issue of race since girl chose a guy with lower education and his family is not that ideal. Guy's mom used to be a househelp but she is retired now. Should they still invite the dad who abandoned them when he's still a child, sell the dowry of his mom to give to his 2nd family. Guy still visits his dad in his old age and forgives him for what he did in the past. If they didn't invite him, the dad's relatives who will be invited will surely react. Does he has to be there when he is not a good husband and good dad to them? Girl mom won't be attending if the guy's parents will stage the church wedding coz it's embarrassing. Girl's mom wants the guy's aunt (sister of his dad) to stand as the mom coz she is more presentable physically and is also wealthy and has position in the society. The real mom will just sit with other guests and guy's aunt will be the one on the stage presidential table assigned to the couple's family. Girl also don't like the idea of inviting guy's half brothers n sisters, even his real siblings coz they are always borrowing money from the guy. every of them just live in and can't even afford a court wedding. When someone is sick or is giving birth, they always ask help from the couple. Girl don't want them to look the wedding coz they might borrow even more when they witness the event. They are like parasites always asking money. That's our culture here in Singapore =( Can't believe that most of you still welcome the guy's dad even if he abandoned them and sold every their possesions to give to his 2nd family. That's why the guy didn't finish school coz he has to fulfill the duties of his dad. Most of us (her friends) don't feel the need to invite the dad anymore since he hasn't been a responsible dad at all

Open Question: Well could this get any worse?

Supposed to help my exhausted wife receive to the international terminal to look off her tourists. We took the bus and i thought it was the second cease which turned out to be domestic terminal. She was supposed to meet her tourists at the international terminal so I nearly made her tardy for her job. Let's just say that I came out with her this morning at 5am only to stuff things up (again). She went into s tirade of 'stupid' and 'idiot' in front of everyone on the bus. I was so embarrassed. I found texts of her saying 'you are a good man' to her teacher and trying to arrange to meet him. Right now I am waiting in the international terminal and not sure where the wife has gone. I hate that I always seem to stuff things up when it is the first time for me to do them. It's a problem with me trying to do things for her. Anyway my due thanks for dragging myself out of bed is to be left here... So many people looked when she panicked and started ripping into me physically. She is embarrassing and I feel ashamed that I always muck things up. I suspect the relax of the day will proceed with put downs and insults. We are coming apart at the seams and she is turning to other guys. Our marriage is not good.

Happiness, helping people, and adore. I know about science, politics, math, and english. I feel like I have done it every. I haven't done some things but I know things I haven't done I know so much about already. Knowledge is truly the killer of life. I have become bored with life and I want more opportunities in life. I have become a bit anti-social because I know what a person is like just by talking to them for a few minutes. I feel like I know everything that matters. So what else is there?

Im 37 & single & I have been dealing with a married man who is 33 with two stepchildren(his wife's kids from a previous relationship)& a bilogical daughter that his grandmother raises. every together he has a total of 3 kids to help provide for. I met him in 2010 when he helped repaired my radio in my apartment & he's been after me ever since.His life/ his wife life routine every he does is pay bills, look about his kids,& go to work. thats how my parents marriage was; the spark died & my parents use to battle & my dad cheated but my mom never left for a long time. Why wont the married guy i'm dealin with or his wife leave each other if things arent working out? why doesnot he just be SINGLE so he can date other people. Will his wife eventually find out about me?? what will she do??they live two blocks from me? I want to clip off contact but he keeps pursuing me. Resolved Question: why my husband dont want to do sex with me ?

heyy there .. im been married since two years.. and im not glad with married life, cuz my husband is not involve in me since very first day.. on our wedding night he didnt do sex with me, and he slept so early.. and gave me the reason that "i dont want to make u uncomfortable, as we are strangers'.. yes this is totally arrange marriage, my dad pick this man for me.. and after a week of marriage he tried to sex with me, and i wasnt so comfortable.. cuz i wasnt enjoying, he was giving me so much pains.. and he said to me "this is my first time, so thats why its too difficult for me".. although i was virgin too.. but even then i was expecting some comfortable moves ... neways in a whole first year we had hardly three or four times sex.. and after a year his mom was asking "i want my grand child".. so after that he made adore to me.. and now we are blessed with daughter .. but in my whole pregnancy period he didnt make adore to me.. and now its been two years i can even count how many times we had sex .. and lastly he didnt even kiss me .. sometimes i feel there is some other idol in his life, i tried so difficult to look hot and sexy .. at night i wore my sexy night suits, and he said "please do wear proper clothes, i dont like every these vulgur clothes" .. this sentence really killed me, once i said to him, u never wanted to have sex with me, give me the reason .. he said "i adore you so much, but i dont like to do sex, and sex is just a body's frustration".. i said "lets go to some doctor' and he dont want to go according to him there is not any problem ... but i really want to know, why my husband dont want to make adore to me.. is there some mentally problem .. or is he looking some other girl ?? im really so depressed, please help me out and give me some suggestions.. how can i keep my marriage life ?? ... ... ... i no what my previous questions are, i am engaged with my boyfriend.. mostly i submitted the questions of others for opinions, the over question is about my best pal .. she is my childhood pal and im feeling so sorry for her married life .. ... about my english, so yes it not our first language, and i no im not good in it .. well if u do understand my question then please do answer me, cuz im looking forward for ur response .. and if u dont understand what im writing, so feel free to move on some other question except to giving me lectures on correcting english .. cuz my problem is not english here .... i want to slove my pal's issue ... wish to having positive response.

Open Question: Is he trying to sabotage my college studies? jealous, perhaps?

I'm going to college for pre-nursing and I have tons of things to study. I take my education plans very seriously, and I try to study every day as much as I can. I am a straight A and Honors student. I work part time and my husband works about 34-40 hrs depending on the week. He doesn't receive paid much and changes jobs a lot, which is something that stresses me up because I never know how tomorrow is going to be. I try to discuss things with him about everything that concerns our marriage, finances, etc. Next thing I know, he decides to do things his way. So when I started college he said he'd support me every the way, now he is getting lazy by the minute and working less, and telling me I need to work more (on the top of going to college full time). Let's say he has a day off the day I stay in school the whole day. I arrive home and dishes are in the sink, the bed wasn't made, the dogs weren't fed, and it's a mess in the home. every he does is go to work and back home and sit on the sofa with headsets on watching youtube videos on his computer, every day. Then when I am doing homework, he makes a point to turn the tv noisy and if I ask him to turn it down, he'll complain that he has "no right" to watch his tv! He won't wash the car, won't mow the grass, won't help in any possible way in the home, although I ask him to help me. If possible, he will add to my work load, instead of softening it up. Sometimes I receive very discouraged and think about quitting everything, but then I think it's my future. I'll be graduating college in Dec and transfering to the university next year. I want to be independent. I don't know if he will ever change, so I want to guarantee my future. He complained last yr that he wasn't going to college but I was, so he enrolled in my college, barely finished his one 3-credit course and never wanted to continue. Then complains that I am going to school and he has to work. 11 yrs of marriage, and things look like they're getting worse. No kids, thankfully. Is he trying to sabotage my efforts? Is he jealous I am accomplishing things and he's not? You guys are so great. I'm glad I'm not crazy! Because sometimes it feels like I am. In front of others he acts so normal that people doubt my sanity. Anyway, Grace: I am sorry to hear about your young husband being gone so soon... and I appreciate your powerful insights on my situation. You said it every. I still have this entire year and probably 2 more (I am trying to receive into the accelerated bachelors of nursing in the university), and that's the dilemma I'm going through... stay and put up or receive myself to work fulltime and go to nursing school full time. We don't have an infatuation for each other any longer, it's just plain icy marriage. He doesn't take care of himself anymore... he has gum disease for not brushing his teeth for days at a time when he was traveling in his previous job, he eats like a pig, doesn't care for shaving much... so although I want him to better himself, I lost every the attraction for him. I understand people need to adore ea About counseling, he won't go. He thinks everything is ok, at least that's what he says. Talking to him is useless. Last night I was lying in bed reading a novel for one of my classes, and he came to bed and turned the bedroom tv on, and put it unnecessarily noisy. Then I told him it was noisy and I was reading, he said he needed to hear the tv (we have a tv in the living room). Then I moved to receive comfortable, and he threw a fit that my leg was preventing him to look the entire tv, I had to lie in bed like a mummy, not move a muscle, or even cough (when I coughed a few times, he said it was interrupting the sound of the tv too... oh gosh). I told him that he's acting like a child. I even asked why are you doing every this, to mess my reading up? He said, no, I just want to watch my show on tv. Just as another side note, I found out that my college offers counseling sessions free of charge for us students. Since he won't go to family counseling with me, I went to my first one last week in college. I cried at times, but it felt good to talk about it. Sometimes I think I am so strong, but at other times I feel so vulnerable. I feel like I'm gonna desintegrate, break into pieces. But I manage to receive myself together. But I never told him I went to this counselor in college, and I am scheduled to go back this thursday again. I am so glad to go, it makes me feel "lighter".

I can't help but ask the question why are people loosing the meaning of marriage? I saw a question on here earlier where she wanted a redo wedding cause she got married at the court home. in my opinion When the guy asks you to marry him you receive one wedding and that is it unless of course you receive divorced there is no vow renewl or redo wedding's cause the vows that you say should be sacred enough that you should never have to re say them to remind each other Is it me or are redo weddings tacky and shouldn't be allowed it seems like couples these days are just wanting a wedding and then if something goes wrong or it's not what they wanted then they can redo it and think that because they adore each other then it should be okay Do you agree with me that redo weddings are tacky and that couples who do redo weddings are not really acknowledging the importance of marriage or there vows

My pal is crying because she had sex with her husband last night and it really hurt. I am going to renewing my passport and apply for B1 visa shortly. My problem is 2 years before I got married and very recently we got separated. Is it mandatory to mention the marital status in both Visa & renew forms? Or is that OK if I just leave that column blank. ‘cause I have not obtained any marriage certificate nor divorce certificate.
